Status: offline 		been hearing alot about bears in the area.. always a skeptic till last night.. i live in fairview.. coming home from a friends house late.. saw a black thing in their yard thought it was their dog.. then it climbed a tree..put the light on it,.. sure as fing hell it was a black bear.. i couldnt believe it.. prolly only a year or 2 old.. only about the size of a large dog. but still pretty cool to see.. hear theres 1 chillen around the legion hole as well.. nice to see them back in the area

Status: online 		Tell that to my buddy that keeps bees.
Lost over $2000 dollars worth of bees this week to a bear.
Tore out and destroyed over a dozen of his best hives. Went right through the electric fence.
I don't think the PGC will pony up any jing for damage either..

Status: online 		"They" are not "coming back to the area". We get a "A" bear round here every few years. I've seen deer downtown.....I've never said it's nice "they are expanding territory".

there are probably like 150-200lb black bears
they are on the pre-winter feed and would be afraid if you ****ed their direction

some idiot erie a-hole will probably shoot it and have it mounted in his basement by christmas

Don't be too complacent - a hungry bear will eat when it wants to - be it you, your child, your pet, etc. Canadian guide told us the one to be most wary of is the young boar seeking to "prove" himself! Hunger will overrule their natural timidness!

yeah with grizz, browns, and polar bears
not black bears
there have been 56 people killed in the past 100 years

you are more likely to die from your meth shack blowing up or getting stung by a bee

i really don't know what point you are trying to make... what "numbers" are you talking about?
population?
attack?
fatal attacks?

Black bears are the least aggressive but have the largest population and most human contact when compared to grizz and polar

Status: offline 		i love how this thread turned into a ****ing contest between KJH and jon.. this was only a thread to inform local anglers that they might have company fishing along side them on rare occasions.. not a battle of random useless facts that no1 but you 2 seem to care about..and fyi kjh ill be 1 of those erie hunters that puts that lovely black cape on my floor lol.. give the woman and i a nice spot by the fire
