Small craft or walking out. How far out are the walleye? Or should I just plug for smallies around the breaker walls

A lot of guys will fish the east break wall for steelies in the fall. The big school of walleyes seems to be out over 8 miles and further west.

I have heard that there are lots of white bass being caught off the breakwall. If you want smallies, I'd throw a jig, its pretty deep around them towards the opening to the lake

Last week, we got the eyes in 75+ foot of water which was 6+ miles out there pretty much due North. Consider heading more west toward Ashtabula, I hear its pretty hot over there right now.
