I am taking my grandkids up to Erie to fish on the EJ on friday. We are planning on getting there thursday afternoon and I wondered where on the Isle would be a good place to take them bank fishing.

Any of the Piers would be a good choice along with Misery Bay.....

Either pier is a great choice, Skip i was in my canoe the other day all over Misery looking to tangle with some carp with a fly rod and just about the whole bay is weed choked.

Take the kid to the piers and sink a few Minnies and you'll catch some fish. Everything from RockBass to Largemouth, Bluegills, Perch, ect!

AS far as the carp question from the other poster.....

Fish Thompson Bay for Carp! Loaded with 'em!

Thanks for the help. We went out on the north pier thursday night and caught nothing. It is ok cause it was a great place to teach the girls how to use the rods and bait their own hooks. Friday we went on the EJ and had a fantatic time. Caught 57 perch, the girls out fished Grampy and were very pleased with their success. EJ is the tops in my book.
