Myself and a friend are planning on tent camping at Folly's End.  IIRC, $15 for one night with a tent, no water, no electricity.

Does anyone know if I can get a site on a walk-in basis, or if I need to call ahead?  If I dont hear from anyone before this afternoon, I'll probably call just to make sure.

I am the king of cheap. Sleep in your truck. If you have a capper, that's all the camper you need. Foam pad and a mummy bag will keep you cozy and right near the creeks. If you are in a car, stow the gear in the trunk, couple blankets and put your seat back. gas makes the trip expensive enough. I'll make up the difference with the free lodging. (Word of advice....if you are going to be there more than a day or two, you may want to look for a spot to get a shower. Long drive back to SC PA with the windows down...BO and fish slime don't mix well!)

The Greenroof Inn, Girard is pretty popular. Convenient, clean and reasonable rate. I have not been there in a few years but pass by it occasionally, looks well kept.

Go to Mickey Rats Angola.
The milfs are hotter and it is only an hour and fifty gallons of gas from Erie by boat.

Saturday is their closing party for the beach clubs.

Years ago it made Marte-Graw look tame.

I'm going to miss it again this year
