Did anyone else seem to have problems this weekend?  I had talked to a guy, who said that he has never had any problems with his motor until this past Saturday.  He also said that he talked to 5 others having problems.

Mine was running great, started on the second pull, then died on me.  I went from WOT to trolling speed a little quick.  When I cut the throttle, it died out, and wouldn't start.  I thought that maybe it was just flooded, but wouldn't start after an hour rest.

I also broke off the neutral start lock mechanism, which fell into the lake...  Not sure if it had been the reason for the not starting, or it broke off from repeated attempts to start the motor.  I have the replacements for this on order.  Any suggestions on the starting?  The coils seemed to be fine, as I got shocked pretty good holding a screw driver in, and trying to start.  I am hoping the replacement parts and some new spark plugs will do the trick.  It's a 15hp Evinrude - 1994.

Oh yeah, I got skunked, again!  Although wasn't expecting much due to the weather.

E-10 fuel?  I have been hearing of some outboards having problems with it.  No way around not using it.  Try some stabilizer made specifically for the ethanol fuels.  http://www.goldeagle.com/sta-bil/stabil_marine.htm

Don't know about your motor, but on some, you can blow out the power pack checking it that way.
