What model is your boat?
What is the best attribute your boat gives you over others boats?
Top speed?
Rough water handling, what is the biggest swells you've been in?
What is the best thing you like about your boats model, size, and motor tandem?

This may sound like a dumb topic but may help some other fellow fishermen select the boat that best fits the quarry they are after.

The sound of a big block Chevy engine with a radical cam and exhaust out the back.

Top speed? 81mph at 5800rpm
With extra batteries. anchors and tool box removed.
Half tank of fuel.
25p Mirage prop removed and a 27p lab cut Mirage installed.

Marty, that is way fast.I don't know why someone hasn't bought it yet,you gotta be one of the fastest boats on the 3 rivers.Plus, you got a kick ass sound system in it from what I remember you posting.

OK,I got two boats also. The first one is a 2005 Nitro with a 150EFI on the back.It handles regular waves well, but you take it to Erie on a 2-4 ft day and you realize it ain't that good.I had a 21 ft Triton 5 years ago and it was WAY better in 2-4 ft waves than this boat.Top speed is 55-60 mph on this Nitro. Not much else to say about it except it has non skid decking in it so I don't have to worry about staining the carpet. Not very impressed with it so I am selling it soon.

The new boat I've just picked up from out of state was a 2000 Xpress X-70.It is 19 ft and has a 150EFI on the back.I got it at a great deal because it was an insurance salvage and had no gauges, controls, cables,or steering.I put this all on in the last month and am waiting on a few more parts to come in.Top speed should be just above 60 mph.I like the idea of this boat because it is all aluminum welded(no rivets) and don't have to worry about stress cracks. This is from a bass fishermans perspective,I would like to see any other boat owners who target a different species to chime in.
