Well guys, if you fish for Smallmouth Bass, you better hit the Yough soon. Smallmouth Fishing is at it's peak right now. When you take a couple dozen of minnows to the river at 6 in the evening and run out way before dark, you know the fishing is good. I always carry a couple of buggers and zonkers in case I run out of bait and thankfully I was still able to catch fish into the dark. The Smallmouth I have been catching are even bigger than last year with most fish averaging around 17 inches. I have done good everywhere from Connelsville to Smithton. I'm even picking up Bass in many stretches of the Sewickley creek. If you like to fish for Smallies, now is the time. I've also been catching more Walleye this year than last. More Stripers too. I haven't latched into any RiverHorse carp yet this year, maybe I need to chum my favorite fishin hole with corn. I haven't seen you this year Hotshot, you still come this way to fish?
