Status: offline 		Here is a listing of all whom have shown interest into going to the Yough  on August 24th! Ax,Razmatazz05,Cold,Lathander,Mook14,71Gto,Timachro,smallhook,Drieflie,Rockhard,DaveF,mossy oak,Kokanee killer,Gadabout! If I have missed anyone sorry for the over sight! I am sure that the list will change a little by the 24. I would like to extend my appreciation to 71 gto for lending his vast knowledge of the area so we all may enjoy the day! 71 Gto shoot me an E-mail in the next day or two. I have an idea where this is but not too clear about it! Maybe this will turn into an annual little get together a couple of times during the summer months! It will be great to meet all who participate! We still have some room for some other guys so don't be shy! Now all we have to do is have the weather cooperate! Looking forward to meeting you all! Thanks!

It's Shawnee. Originally it meant LONG KNIFE. The Shawnee then used the word for to describe ARMY OFFICERS because of the sabers they carried. Eventually it became an epithet for WHITE MAN. All three describe me, so the moniker fits.

I'm 15 min. away, but with 3 kids under 10, I can't commit to anything.  Haven't fished the Yough since early May.

There are a couple of people that fish down there that will tell you that he will quit talking to you for childish stuff.  He didn't talk to another local fishermen down there for years over politics.  It doesn't matter, the fish will still be there and I'll be there to give anyone a hand that needs it.

Status: offline 		One other fact guys, the friend of mine that I stopped talking to over politics suffers from depression, he and I through this every election year, lasts a short time and once election is over, he is talking again. We are still the best of friends and fished together last night. You need to know the truth to understand all things.

Status: offline 		I'll fish with anybody.  I'll be there to fish and I can be a smartass too.  Just in case there are any other haters out there, I will be bringing a black friend with me, so if that bothers anyone else, you have been forewarned.  I'll also be bringing a couple of my kids (hopefuly).  If anyone wants to fish tonight (Friday), I'll be in there.

Status: offline 		It'll probably be just me on Sunday, one buddy that usually will travel to fish lives in Blairsville, so thats a pretty good hike for him and I dounbt he'd be interested.  I'll probably start off with flies to give everyone some comedy for a while, and eventually trade it in for the ultralight later on in the afternoon/evening.

Status: offline 		Bring a lunch.  If you don't bring a lunch there is a good Bar down the road with good food and cold beer.  The Bar is kid friendly during the day and it is only about a mile upriver from the hole.

Status: offline 		Let's set the facts straight right now, smallhook was never seen fishing Eureka til last year after reading all my posts about fishing there. He came down one Saturday and walked up to the island to fish, he caught one bass he said. Next day he came down and asked if I was 71gto, and he introduced himself to me. Seemed like a nice guy. My friend, Ken, whom he alluded too in an earlier post and I befriended him and showed him how and where to fish the Eureka area. There are 2 other witnesses to those facts of which he cannot dispute.
 
Now if he wants, he can tell you all why I won't fish with him anymore since he is the one that brought up the subject.

Status: offline 		I've been fishing there for a long time Doug, not everyday like now, but for a long time. It's easy to get to and I'm gettin old.  As far as you not fishing with me?  I have no idea Doug and I wish I knew. Enlighten us.

Status: offline 		Holy cow, I get more drama here than when I was seeing a theater major...if you have such a huge problem with another person being somewhere that you have to change your whole day around to avoid them, just figure it out, and dont go near them.  Not a profound concept.  Better yet, put aside some differences to enjoy a pastime you have in common?

Not sure about fishing that day.  if I do we won't be in Eureka from what I've read here.  I'll be in touch....

Status: offline 		Well looks like we have a pretty nice trip shaping up! I appreciate everyone who is getting involved and offering help to anyone who will need it. Likes make it a fun day for everyone and most important enjoy ourselves! Sorry I am posting this a little late but out with the boys tonite for a R & R! Big round table discussion about flyfishing tonite. Pretty interesting. Again, anyone is welcome to join us! Just trying to have a little meet n greet! I will keep updating everyone as to what is happening! Anyone coming down from the North Hills area? We could car pull. Just let me know. Willing to be the official taxi man for the day!
