Just wanted to thank everyone who came down to the Eureka Hole on Sunday. The number of fisherman was not that great. In the whole day I believe we saw 5 fisherman show up to attend this little outing. The weather was fantastic, the water was great, the fish that were caught were outstanding, and meeting new people was the best of all. By the way I did bring down the shine! Smallhook was the only one brave enough to take a little taste test! Mook14, nice fishing with you in the AM. I kind of wondered what happen to you guys? Smallhook nice fishing with you in the PM. Tell Ken ditto! Let's plan another event soon! Keep in touch.

Thanks mook14 for the reply! Glad to hear that you guys did real good! We did good in the afternoon. I hooked up and landed about six or seven smallies. Not real big but fun to catch. Biggest was around 10 inches. Found a real neat spot about a half mile down river. Little depression in the river and the smallies were bunched up. Great to sight fish to these fish. Saw every hook up happen! Purple and black zonkers! Again, thanks for coming. I will be in the Dawson area on Saturday if anyone has any interest! Smallhook do you have your ears on?

No problem.  Had a good day myself slingin minnies.  After all the chummin, my buddy Ken caught two huge Freshwater Drums.  The carp was jumpin all around but I didn't have any luck catchin the big carp I was after.  I caught about six stripped bass and four nice size sauger and about six smallmouth in 5 hours of fishing.  Gaddabout is one hard fisherman.  He fished a pretty big area, hard.  It's always nice to fish with someone who works that hard.  Can't wait to fish Dawson with ya buddy.  All in all the fishin was pretty slow for this time of year but at least we caught fish.

Thanks smallhook for the approval! Really didn't fish as hard as I normally do. Trying to learn the water and the holes that may hold fish. I fish in the Dawson area a one mile to a mile and a half section of water in a day. I know that water a lot better. Usually I walk up a road or a path and fish down the stream. Due to our outing I wanted to stay fairly close to the guys! Would like to walk up the road and fish down. Mook14 told me they moved up to the next hole and did well. Thanks again. Oh, by the way looks like I have a trip to the Franklin area on French Creek on Saturday! Sorry! What about Monday Labor Day! Anyone interested? Please post yes or no! Thanks again.

Was busy last weekend, but glad you had a good day. I was thinking about fishing the Dawson side up at the piers, has been a while since I was fishing that area. If I get my yardwork done, always something.

Hoch999, I park on the bike trail side and then walk up the stream! Always fish down from there. Actually I have been fishing above the bridge piers lately and doing quite well. A litle farther walk but worth it!
