Anyone been fishing West Newton to Smithton?  I went to Kennywood on Tuesday and looked like the Yough was dumping some mud into the Mon.

I fished it from 11 till about 2 Friday the fourth.  Was mudding up pretty good near the banks but there was a good clear section running down the middle.  We didn't really get all that much rain here but it looks like it got smacked on the southern end.  It looks like the river will still be under 5 feet tomorrow so I'll be fishing it tomorrow somewhere.

What a difference a day makes.  The water at Smithon looked like chocolate milk.  Drive to Connelsville where the water looked a whole lot better.  Fished some fairly hard to wade water across the river from the Police station but had a good day.  I called a friend of mine fishing the Ohiopyle area and he said the water, though a little high, was really clear.

Thanks for the reports.  Drove over the Smithton bridge today and it definately has color but not chocolate milk.  I really want to head out but looks like a bad storm coming from the south.  We'll see?
