If you've been on the fence about a Troll Master, hesitate no more. I put one on my kicker and it is absolutely amazing! Of course I didn't have remote throtle before so it was a major pain to get the speed right, but now all I have to do is turn a little dial on the dash to micro adjust the speed. I'll be putting one on my dad's boat and he does have the remote throttle but the tiny adjustment necessary to get the correct speed is nearly impossible. Installation was a snap. There are a couple of manufacturers making similar units and they may be good as well. If you're "electro-mechanical" you could probably build your own for alot less, they just use a servo from a remote control helicopter with a wired remote to the dash.
