So, after having been on here a ton the past few days, and having read through the entire "thoughts on steelhead post" I realized that it's been a while since I had personally done anything truly considerate or helpful on this board. And I do realize that there are a number of well-intentioned folks on here, who merely need to be steered in the right direction, so... I am offering to take one or two people with me sometime when conditions warrant. I live North of Pittsburgh, so if you're interested, please PM me. Ideally, I would love to show someone new to the sport around- or a father/son/daughter, etc... While this is not a "guided" trip per se, it would be a chance for someone to perhaps see some new water, learn what few tricks and techniques I have to offer, and hopefully gain an appreciation for what truly is a remarkable fishery. Also, they need to fly fish- not that I have anything against bait fishing mind you, it's just that I'm not a very good spin fisherman, and would have far less to offer on that front (perhaps someone more versed in that would like to offer the same?) Anyway, if you're interested, I would love to help a newcomer out. Please PM me- the first reasonable response will be the one- again, this is simply me offering to help someone- it can be anyone on here too, but please, not someone who really knows what they're doing- this is meant to offer assistance to someone who needs a hand. If anyone else would like to volunteer and help out (maybe on the same day?) please feel free to join us... Dan
