Status: offline 		Leatherback.  Only caught 2 this year but didn't fish alot for channels this year w low water.  One night last year i caught 4 of them in about 3 hours on the allegheny river.  Didn't know they were a species of concern.

Status: offline 		There are a couple of spots where I see those softshells almost every time out. Hereford Manor Lower lake, certain areas on Lake Arthur, Highland Park.

Status: offline 		Trouthater, you mentioned they are of special concern I'm curious to know why, are they endangered?  The site you sent was mostly just informative on the species (they didn't have westermoreland county marked which is where I caught mine.)

Status: offline 		I caught 7 of them in one night of fishing at Ryerson.  It was loaded with them before they drained it.

Status: offline 		A few years ago while camping in Jamestown at pymy, My brother in law caught a leatherback turtle using cut up perch.  It put up one heck of a fight.
