Don't know if you all saw this earlier this year, but it is worthwhile watching again.

If you are serious about your reply, then you were never in the service or you would know they were suppose to be!

Thanks. Awsome video.
But you really owe it to yourself to go see them in person in Washington DC.
On Friday evenings in the summer there is a free Evening Parade at the Marine Barracks Washington
http://www.mbw.usmc.mil/parade_eveningdefault.asp
and on Tuesday evenings they perform a Sunset Parade at the Iwo Jima memorial in Virginia.
http://www.mbw.usmc.mil/parade_sunsetdefault.asp
I have seen them both several times and my heart beats proud every time.

It actually brought a tear to my eye, my Grandpa was a Sgt. in the USMC and he passed a couple of years ago, and there was a drill team at his funeral.  Lived through Iwo, couldn't beat old age though

Thanks again.

Your right, I was never in the service. I guess even after the announcement that they were quiet, I still didn't get it.

Was a harmless joke, get over it.

71, may need to lighten up a bit, but you need to learn to respect what should be respected a little more....JMO

I never ment to start trouble. But it seems to me you guys are older gentlemen, and from my experience automatically have the idea that all young people are punks and are disrespectful.(Maybe not you, just stating my opinion) My grandfather was in the Army, 2 of my uncles were in the Air Force, and another in the Navy. And one of my best friends is an army ranger who just returned from Iraq. So believe me, I have the absolute highest respect for our troops.
My comment could have been intrepreted as disrepect or a smarta$$ remark, but only if you were looking for the worst in it. It was only a comment/joke as to how quiet they indeed were. I'm sorry, I never seen them before, didn't expect it to be like that. If you still feel the same way, thats alright, to each his own. But I figured I'd let ya know what it really was, before I got flamed for it.

C'mon dude ......

I thought nothing of you're first comment until you said;

"Your right, I was never in the service. I guess even after the announcement that they were quiet, I still didn't get it.

Was a harmless joke, get over it."

Reading that now, I can see how it came across as disrespectful. But, I was serious. I was never in the military, and I thought there'd be a leader shouting commands. Like I said I've never seen it before. To me, Gto was jumping on me, and I didn't like it. I realized where he was coming from eventually, so I cleared the smoke.

Tippy Toe and Deadbolt,

Tippy, first, thanks for explaining how sometimes it is hard to understand words on the net without hearing them. When we gonna fish?

And Deadbolt, your sister is too young for me....lol....just kidding! All is good. Let's hear when you catch some fish and see some pics of those bad boys.

I'm going up to follys or stereretaniana or however you spell it, Thursday morning. Hopefully I can catch something. I hacked my significant other into buying me a redington 7wt for christmas, so hopefully this will be my last noodle rod trip fro a while, but I dont know if i should expect to catch fish this year on it. I may borrow a digital camera and use it, we'll see, I have a younger sister with one I bought he for her birthday earlier this month, but at her age she needs to take a myspace picture of herself every 10-15 minutes so.
