To all of those who respect the rights of the people fishing on the bank thank you  but to all of those who think that thay can fish right through
the person fishing on the banks little area and you know who you are  we paid to fish also  and i think that you people are the biggest ass h---- there is just because you have a boat dosent
mean that there s isent any rules for you. I think that most every one that wants a boat has one so why don't you stop pretending that you are some body and stay out the hell where you belong it is to bad that there hase to be so many of you slobs out there.

It would be nice if they would avoid people on the bank . If I see you coming I wil say nicely where I am casted out to but if you ignore expect heavy braid in your motor when you run over my line. I broke a guys motor last year so keep that in mind the next time you cross someones line. lol

crossing someones line is so worth destroying thier thousands of dollars boat motor. pull that $hit with the wrong person and you might be looking down the business end of a pistol.

I guess to them they thought it was. I told them where my lines were casted out and they didn't care and I even told them I use a heavy braid and when it tangled in there motor I guess they learned there lesson. I know when I am out in the boat the last place I want to be is somewhere I can reach from shore.

what he's gonna shoot himself? great, save me the trouble. i dont run anyones line over anyway. i have respect for bank fisherman because i was one for so long and still am alot of the time. but if i accidentaly run over your line and you screw up a 2000+ motor because your 1$ fishing line was broke then your getting your fvckin face smashed in plain and simple... i'll gladly take the couple weeks in jail for the aggrivated assault for that one.

wow bro, I don't think he was talking about you in particular.  I have a boat and I'm constantly looking for shorefisherman when I'm working the shoreline so I don't interfere with their fishing.  But I think he's talking about boaters who don't care and will come close enough to run his line over.  He's not talking about anything intentional.  In that case, it's the boaters fault as far as I'm concerned.

Man calm down bud. I am talking about the boaters that see your line and cross over it acting like nothing is going to happen. If you shoot someone for your own mistake then maybe you are taking your motor a little too serious if someones life is worth $2000 to you. . I was merely saying I yell (so they can hear me) to the boaters where my line is at to avoid this problem. And my dollar lines costs roughly $45 for each rod. I fish both the bank and on a boat  and usually when I see someone its commmon courtesy to go around but I guess you don't have to.

I don't mind hearing a few complaints of this sort as it helps me keep others in mind when I'm on the water.  You're going to have this stuff when there's so many sharing the water.  The thing that gets me is when I pull up to a launch and people are fishing off it and they just look at me like I need to ask permission to use it.  And also all those logs I cleared up at the launch the other day somehow ended up in an organized pile in the middle of the launch again...perfect for proping a pole on.  We can all work on things to share the water better.

I was fishing the yough one time when a boater crossed my line. He obviously didnt see my line or the big freakin' rock I was casting to. Almost ripped the motor right off! Serves people right if they are going to be that inconsiderate. I didnt even care that he ruined my spot for a few hours, I just laughed until I cried.

Can you show me where in the Pa code or pfbc book that it says a boater has to give way to a shore fisherman?  (I am not that big of a prick, just curious)

I just couldn't help myself to point out that You run over a line and HE screwed up Your motor is absolutely ridiculous.

The fact that you seem willing to fight over it is bordering on insane.

Its kinda nice that you used a v instead of a u when you spelled the F word while weighing the joy versus penalty of smashing a face in though.

Sure sign of good character.

One day I was taking a slow cruise on my Checkmate going up the Alleghany from the point.
I was 75-100 yards off shore when some morons fishing threw a beer bottle then mooned us.
I turned away from shore and did a large circle.
On my second trip past him I was going about 60 then turned into shore and cut the throttle back before turning out.
Watching the wake hit them and send lawn chairs and cooler floating away was priceless.

On my way back an hour later the girls on my boat mooned them!

It does say in the code that boats have the right of way near docks and ramps.......If you are fishing off of a dock or ramp and I run over a line that should not be there, YES HE screwed up!

That was by the retirement home. I saw the walkers and weelchairs go flying. My grandfather said the worst part was the fat chicks mooning him.

Ya the code is that boats have the right away. Now if for some reason that person on the boat would physically do something to my rod or line on the bank then thats not allowed but proving that is heresay unless you have it on video. Its mainly a common courtesy thats all. A lot of areas bank fisherman only have so much area to fish and certain people on boats tend to fish that spot acting like its gold which they can but its mainly a courtesy to leave the bank guy alone thats all.  I honestly don't mind reeling in my line but a lot of guys trolling even are in a big hurry and don't even give you time to do so. Most are considerate and just pointing out what can happen. I actually had a guy tonight who completely went around me way past my lines so I didn't have to reel in at all. Braid has a tendency to float so as soon as the prop spins near it the line sucks up into the motor. Now if you are fishing mono the prop would just cut it.

As far as the dock fishing goes if I was bank fishing there I would reel in. Thats meant for boats so me being there really isn't serving the purpose of why it was put there.

I know he wasnt talking about me specifically. The pronoun "your" can refer to one or many people. Please allow me to clarify that it was intended to mean many.

My only response about shooting someone was when someone replied "Maybe the guy on shore has the business end of a pistol" which in that case i would shoot. Sorry bud but if someone draws on me i am making every effort to drop them first. What i did say was i would gladly pound thier head in or something to that nature which i still hold by. 1$ or 45$ is no reason to destroy someones motor that could be worth thousands. Sorry but that level of ignorance is far worse then chopping someones line. just like alot of people on here said in other posts thy throw sinkers at boaters or rapala's with big trebles etc.... Destroying expensive personal property or harming someones with treble hooks is a hell of a lot more childish for running over someones line then beating someones a$$ for screwing you up royaly physically or financally.

The fact that you wouldnt fight someone if they destroyed your motor is insane. Maybe your some ultra pacifist or something which is your business. I am not, which is my business. sorry but i work hard for the stuff i have which im sure you do too. I am not going to sit by idle nd watch someone mess it up and do nothing over something so rediculous. So what would you have me do anyway? call a wco? call the cops? And three hours later when the the show whats it going to do for me? Chances are that person is gone or there is no way to recover damages from them anyway.

Oh and thanks for your expert analysis of my character. Im sure with all your degrees in psychology its relatively easy for you to do a complete workup on my character based on 4 or 5 sentances i posted on the internet. Keep posting the first personal remarks about someone and im sure you'll continue to be hypocritical.

You're welcome, but seem to miss the point.

The point being that if you are in control of a boat, there is no way that the situation could occur without the participation of the person controling the boat. There would be at least equal blame for the damage, if not more on the part of the person controlling the boat.

And you are correct that I work hard for my stuff and value it. Thats why I don't do dumb stuff with it. Would you ram a vehicle if you had right of way, simply because you have right of way, then blame the other driver,
Or would you try to avoid a collision?

I'd try to avoid the collision. It doesn't take a degree in anything to figure that out.
