Has anyone seen this movie?

Unreal. Although heath ledger's death has probably boosted it's stock, It's still an amazing film.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I know it grossed a record 155$ million dollas opening weekend.

Redonklious.

I saw it this weekend very very good.  Best movie ive seen in years.  The Joker (ledger) was probaly one of the best villians I have ever seen in a motion picture.

Yeah I saw it friday night and saturday again,,now I can't wait untill the next one. I think this is the best group of actors in these particular parts. Can't wait till the next one. Its funny how the 2 movies I wanted to see in theaters this year were 6 months apart,,january and july.

Yeah, I hear ya Musky, I had to see Space Chimps as well...couple tubs of corn, couple of corn syrup laden gallons of drink and about four trips to the bathroom later and a good time was had by all. Someday I'll get to take just my wife to the movies again, maybe we can see something above a G rating.

IMO Ledger was the best "Joker" ever. What do you guys think? How did he compare to Jack Nicholson?

Personally, I think he was a B grade actor. I don't think he was in many "great films". His death is 75% responsible for his reviews, and the film grossing so much, people can deny it all they want. But in the end, it's the truth.

I would agree that his death did increase the stock of the movie... but man he was amazing. I think this movie would have put him over the top and opened him up for some really good parts.

I don't know if I'd compare him to Nicklas they were both great as Joker. Looking forward to the next Batman.

Ledger's little ticks and various other things really drove home the point that the Joker was an unstable cat. He really did a great job on that part. I really dug that movie, a bunch!

You can have an opinion but dont say it's the truth. His acting skills and the reviews of this movie and his performance have nothing to do with him beind dead.  Both of them were incredible by most people's accounts.  No one walks out and says that was a great movie because that guy is dead now.  And his acting was so great because he is dead now.  It speaks for itself regardless of his demise.  America as moviewatchers are not that forgiving, if it was bad it would be critisized as such.  This film is breaking records because people are hearing its a good film to watch, not because they want to see a dead person's last act.  Even if some have done that it's because they thought he was pretty good before this.

Aside from that very little CGI was used in the film and many of the stunts were done in live action that had never been done before.  The semi truck summersault was actually done and filmed.  One of the many reasons it was a great movie, and I hate superhero movies.

Sorry to say as well that he blows away Jacks joker performance by a longshot. And Bales Batman is probably the most true to the comics version as well.

Bring on Batman 3 and,, Rambo v
