I have to throw this post out there to anyone interested.  The remaining members of the Grateful Dead, along with the current conglomoration of the Allman Bros. Band are playing one night in State College at the Bryce Jordan center as a benefit for the Barack Obama campaign.  I don't care about your political affiliation, I'm just sayin it's gonna be one he!! of a jam and a great scene!!  Tix go on sale today at 12 noon.  50 bucks gen. admission/30 with a Penn State ID.  Follow the link below........

"You know it's gonna get stranger....some things you just know...let's go!"

Word on the street is that they're putting together a huge rolling paper with a picture of the McCain/Palin ticket on it.  They're gonna wrap it around a bail or two of the finest Alaskan Thunderfu#k and smoke it onstage.  The irony is that all the weed is coming from Wasilla...the homegrown capital of AK...thanks Sarah

I am probably younger, much poorer  and actually live too far away...but I'm operating on the principle that I might be DEAD tomorrow...so I better definitely be DEAD on Oct. 13!!!!!

good for you, my young friend.  i remember jerry garcia was commented on the late 60s and early 70s and all the positive things that were happening.  people were become more aware about government, the environment, acceptence of others and peace.  he said that "just for a moment, the door was opened and we saw what could be......."   guess times have changed, but a least some of the music is still there.  have a good time........and wear your seatbelt

remember in the 'old days' you actually had to go stand in line to buy tickets.  you needed to know which national record marts had the best seats for sale.

..blossoms blooming,
head's all empty and I don't care....

She's got everything delightful
She's got everything I need
Takes the wheel when I'm seeing double
Pays my ticket when I speed...

I'll walk you in the morning sunshine
Sunshine daydream
Walk you in the sunshine

one of my favorites

hey DT, don't ruin a good thread man...it's not about politics, it's about the music.  Loosen up, have a beer... ...cause for me "The MUSIC NEVER STOPPED!!!!"

I'm broke, supporting a family, but the wife and I have to keep the priorities straight sometimes...you know...get back what we had before responsibilty and kids, at least for one night.  It keeps me "Truckin" down that "Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion"  so that for just one night I can "Let My Lovelight Shine"  with the woman I love..."HEEERRREEE COOOMMMMMESSS SUUUUUNNNNNSHIIIIINNNNEEEE!"  I can't wait...
