fly, There really is no secret, though there are a few holes on Elk that seem to attract (hold) dropbacks more than others. The main thing is to cover a LOT of water, forget the upper reaches (the fish are dropping back), and the very lower reaches ( the fish are dropping back, and don't hang around long once they get that low ). Look for pools with cooler water flowing into them. Someone posted that reports of fish in 20 mile were bogus. They MIGHT be, but the poster could not know by the water ( Rt5- the lake ) he said was fishless. If there are any remaining fish in 20 ( not saying there is ), they would not likely be found below Rt. 5.
