This article not only takes a jab at the current inept Congress, but other Congress' of recent decades.  It almost makes me wonder if it would be feasible to sue Congress.  I think if it got to the Supreme Court, a 5-4 victory might be likely.  Rock, I know you will get a kick out of reading this one.  Enjoy!

I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is a disgrace, two are a law firm and three are called a Congress

gone, i always liked him (and his beer).  you know, when integrity went out the window for these guys, we all started to suffer.  one of my pet peaves is the retirement they set up for themselves.  and the built in raises.  it's so wrong.  not only would i love them sued, but impreached and indicted.  they are contemptable at best, and believe that the laws of the land are for the common folk.  only hurdle would be that the high court is made up of political appointees and the "tamany hall" brand of politics continues to flourish..

vote em all out. (except a few.....)

The problem is Rap, that folks want them all thrown out, but THEIR rep. who has seniority, and power ( the reason I'm leaning towards term limits, well one of them ). Same thing with pork. Everyone wants it eliminated, EXXCEPT for what comes back to THEIR didtrict.

gone ,i always said we need to let the market figure out the energy crisis, cause govt always produces more problems than it solves, yes i did enjoy that,,,  rap ,i agree as far as impeachment of them all, we wouldnt get an indictment, but possibly, slim chance of getting them all out and vote new in,,, spoon,,all for term limits,2 terms both houses, more new reps in both houses ,i think the more will get done, i think their retirement should be like average citizen also, they should look at it the way we got to,,,

I think the key statement in the article is "The world is changing much faster than the U.S. legislature's ability to comprehend it."   Our congressmen need to travel to China, India, and eastern Europe to get a grasp on global growth.   Beyond that they need to collectively act as elected congressmen working on behalf of the country, not 200+ Republicans and 200+ Democrats voting on party lines.  They can get started by kicking the environmentalists/eco-nuts out of Washington DC.   If those folks want pristine, unspoiled wilderness, ship them all to Mars and let the martians deal with them.  That will eliminate one of the most significant hurdles on sensible energy policy and market solutions.
Term limits?   Absolutely.  For consistency, I'd favor two 4-year terms for any office at the federal, state, and local level.  That will help avoid the Bob Casey syndrome and make them deliver to get that second term.  I think we have heard his name 3 times in 18+ months on the job.  His last mention was a congenially crafted article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about Bob's watching from the sidelines during his first year.
