I wanted to know if anyone has been catching Steelhead trolling this time of year? If not, when is the best time to find some of the steelhead trolling in the lake?

It depends on how you want to target them. Some, SOME are being picked up by Walleye hunters now. The coming month will see more "Steelie" action in the trenches, and CAN be good for those targeting them. September, and october can be great, trolling the near shoreline ( doesn't HAVE to be right at the creek mouths ), pulling shallow diving plugs.

November is a great month for steelies inshore if you get a decent day.  I like the bay and around the pocket.  Use planer boards and shallow running stickbaits.

'Chucker is correct.  The water temps are still TOO WARM for too many steelies to stage in the trenches.  Most are still WAY north on the Canadian side and DEEEEEEEEP where there is still cold water.

bluntman    You left out NY.  And from there you can see the 4 states that touch Springfield:  Nevada, KY, Maine and Arkansas.

I heard it was dead out there...

That's a long run, anyway you do it.  We've gone there before and it was a 23 1/2 mile run from Conneaut.
