Status: offline 		To all members PLEASE be careful about how much infomation you post on a certain stop you fish - too much info and you might find that place fished out.

I'm not saying don't share - ya can always PM the person that asked ...

Status: offline 		exactly why I'm not so eager to showoff with pictures. If I showed the fish,you still would need a city water shed permit/license/registered boat tag and alot of gasoline$$$ to take a chance on weather(wind) I don't anchor anymore  and very rarely purchase live sawbellies/minnow bait anymore.  But all this adds up to a pretty good expense for the average joe.. I will not give away my river stream honey holes... the resi I could care less.. most these fish die of old age as far as i'm concerned. lol

Status: offline 		I can not believe how expensive it is to roam around these days! I use to do this every year but never thought gasoline could rise this fast and still keep rising! especially with such a fine president at the helm!

Status: online 		Good luck finding this spot and don't expect to find other anglers up there to fish (LOL) I'll give you a hint, it's in the ADK's



The bounty:



these ponds due to the hike in terrain require the use of only packable inflatable tubes & rafts, your not going to carry a boat up there, even a light weight hornbeck. The reason it's highly doubtful to see another angler on most of these waters, not that the serious anglers don't fish these but they are few and far between .Sure there are plenty of ADK ponds that hold brook trout but not a large amount that hold big fish. The best brookie ponds are kept tight lipped. Generally I don't take clients to one particular pond more than a few times per year. At some areas i employ guidelines on what if any can be killed,these places are just too fragile to over fish. Currently weekends are booked up in May but there are openings available for weekday, day or overnight trips and a few weekends in June.

Status: offline 		Sorry if I offended anyone by giving out too much information.  I only did so b/c I thought it was a good place to bring a kid to get them "hooked" on fishing.  I certainly would not give out information about my fly-fishing honey holes so freely.  Again my apologies.

Status: offline 		reel, I remember some 20 years ago a place like that, same size brookies too, so big you needed two hands to hold em, anyway it was off canonville in green county.. use to love taking to back road over  and although even then was private, we had permission  until it changed hands..  some jerseys now own it  "rainbow lodge" but that's how it goes for many once sacred spots. Keep yours sacred as you know the deal :) Still have some small trail brook ponds here close worth a line however, at least three i know are easily accessible WMA limited parking and the size of char show it ( usually about half size yours) . But I'm going soon anyway with my kayak and ultra lights.

Status: offline 		You guys are killing me.  I grew up in upstate NY and lived for fishing the backcountry ponds and streams of the Catskills and Adirondacks.  I moved to Pittsburgh 10 years ago and have found two things that I really miss.  One is grouse hunting and the other is chasing the wild trout of the Tugg Hill and Adirondacks.  I really don't want you to spot burn, but if you could share your adventures without names, you would do this heart a lot more good than you know...  Till Someday, The Griffon.

lol, if that was my private  brooky pond, i'd spear any browns and preserve the pond for just those char species. Best eating salmonoid fish imo. tuna that place looks like a place i would miss very much if i had the honors. You must quad to get there right?

Status: offline 		gorgeous spot, i'd love to cook on an open pit under the stars up there! i think it could be a bow too in that last photo. but get it the heck out of that gem pond! bows and browns will eat the native brook fry. tuna knows!

79: no vehicle use in the ADK park, all is pure will & foot power. They are bushwack trail-less hike in's.





Yes the last pic was a bow in a brookie pond, not really so bad. Browns & baitfish are

dakota : close (not really) but no no cigar. keep trying.
