Gentelmen, I ask this question in hopes I can get a general idea of where I can take my Dad this Sunday. We live a few hours apart so we dont fish together as often as we used too. I was hoping to get an idea of where we might try to catch a few walleye. I have never targeted or caught one. So, I ask where I might try that is fairly close to the Elizabeth area.
Any info is great. You guys have never let me down before.
And, it is catch and release only.

Fish below a dam with jigs and curly tails, drag them on the bottom slowly. Big a bunch because you will loose them. If you want tip it with a minnow. I've caught 90% of my river walleye like this. I like a medium action spinning rod with braid, the braid helps you feel every rock you hit and every light bite. I usually use a 18-24" 12lb flouro leader. Im not sure what dams are around elizabeth so I can't help you there. Green/Chartreuse and white work great.

Like Fresh said below the elizabeth dam can b good with jigs but alos c if you can find a wing dam or some kind of obstuction in the current. right now them eyes aint quite stackin the washout hole. Their are a good number of fish below a dam all the time. Trial and error Jigs are the ticket during the day but in the mornin and evening try Rapala's. if you feel like takin a drive go to highland park dam or tarentum i have caught a good number of walleye there all year. Another good spot is at the harmaville boat launch. deer creek comes in up their and now with some rain there should b fish their. depends on if the river comes up or not.
