The guys that came to the "tubesteak rally" know that last week my brother fell while setting up a tree stand and broke his neck and was life flighted to Presby in Pittsburgh. He goes back for re-evaluation next week but is expected to make a full recovery.

Well, yesterday I got a call from Presby and my oldest son fell while working on a roof. He fell over 20' and was life flighted as well. So.... when you're saying your prayers add a couple extras, please.

Prayers here as well.

Be careful getting out of that truck. It looks like a pretty lengthy fall in itself.

Believe me, I'm not taking any unnecessary chances at this point. I've already had my fall a couple of years ago, dam ladders anyway. It was a long ride home from Pgh last night. Funny, when you get a group of things like this happening how you start looking over your shoulder.

I did get a small chuckle (after I calmed down) last night though. When leaving the parking garage I placed my ticket in the machine and it said "Your total is $2750.50". I considered just leaving my car there.

Bull, hope they mend up quickly.

Keep looking over your shoulder. Can't help but think of saying, "Bad things come in threes". Hope it's not the case.

Thank you all for your prayers and support!

Not sure it counts as number 3, but I had to take my 17 year old daughter to the orthopaedic surgeon today..... 4 weeks of therapy and then possibly surgery for a torn labrus (sp). If it takes another fall to get number 3 under my belt, it just may be me jumping from a bridge.

Don't use chartists bridge....he charges!

J/K..... For real though, don't do any "jumpin", put you faith in God...believe there is a reason, and a bigger picture for all of this.

What doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger....or hopefully smarter.

My family will continue prayers for you and yours. Hit me up if ya need anything.

Prayers go out bulldog I hope he gets better.

Flatfish ....

Last year I was fishing trout run till dark. I get a phone call from my wife's friend telling me to come pick her up at the hospital. Here she was in a really bad car wreak car totaled and she was still unconscious. Needless to say I flew down I79 going 85-90 MPH. Made it to ST MARGARETS hospital in time. When I got there she was awake banged up but doing fine.

Well, my son was finally discharged today. Final tally on injuries - Pelvis broken in 2 places, broken ribs, bruised lung and a broken scapula. No mention of head injury (probably gets his hard head honestly). So, it could have been much worse. I'm sure he won't be doing much for quite a while, he's not allowed to put any weight on his legs for a couple months. Brother seems to be recovering well from broken C2 vertebra and should be "back on the horse" in a few weeks. Daughter starts PT today and we'll know in 4 weeks if the surgery is a must have. Dr. didn't show alot of hope that PT would work, but I thought it would be worth trying to avoid surgery. Seems like once you have surgery nothing is ever the same.

Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers.

Bull,
Keep us posted!  We will keep thinking about them.   Good luck with the PT   BUT start checking out the surgeons now so you can find a good one.  Try to get with the guys who do the Pitt players or  the Stelers.

Thanks for the update.  I appreciate your ability to stay positive is such a tough situation--and your keeping a sense of humor (so obvious in your recent FishErie post).  We'll keep the prayers coming.

Well guys, #3 hit in a big way Tuesday guess it wasn't my daughter after all. My father is now in the hospital scheduled for a quadruple bypass. I won't be back on these boards for a while, maybe a week or two or more. Things are absolutely insane right now and I don't have time for anything but running to the hospital and taking care of my mother with everything else that's happened.

Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers, keep 'em comin'

Glenn
