I broke my Fenwick fly rod yesterday.  2 questions.  Does Fenwick off lifetime guarantees? If not where is a good place to get it repaired in the Scottdale area?  I nabbed a rock bass on my first cast and set my rod down in the high grass to take the hook out and stepped on it like a jag off.

Here is the web site to contact them. Top part of the site is for e-mail and the lower part is for calling or writing to them. You can either e-mail or call. That way you get it straight from them if they will fix it or not.

depends on which fenwick it is I think. The HMX had lifetime warranties for a while, a lot didn't. Best you can do is call them.

If it is one of the cheaper rods you're probably better buying another rod.

Troutabout on this forums does repairs and is in West Newton. Don't know if he is taking any now as he was pretty busy last we spoke. Check on rodbuilding.org or tackleworks.com (.org?) for another repair person in the area. I think tackle unlimited does it down in clairton.

Thanks,
Rick

See what Fenwick will do for you first.  If nothing happens there, let me know and we'll see what can be done with it.  I can always take on a repair.  I like to wait til I have a few in backlog and do them all at the same time.  Right now I have 3 breaks and 2 guide replacements waiting for the bench to clear.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll check with Fenwick and see what they say then I might be contacting you Trout About.  It was around $200 but the cost isn't the big thing the rod belonged to my grandpap and after he died last year my uncle gave me the rod so I'd really like to be able to get it fixed. I have another Fenwick just like it I can use(my uncle bought the 3 of us new rods) but like I said this rod means alot.  Again thanks for the help!
