yeah, I found the stock trucks last week in their "secret" spot and saw them dumped in by the 10's of thousands from 2 trucks!  The baby lakers were between 8 and 10 inches.  I dream of catching one some day but it means a significant investment in equiptment.  IF I can get one of my fishing buddies to acutally launch his restored Sea Nymph, he has riggers and maybe stripers and lakers become reality. . .until then I want to see your pictures as I think that lake trout are beautiful fish!
Post up!

I fished Raystown this past Fri and Sat for lake trout. My first time ever focusing on lakers before... Couldn't figure out how to catch them with my downriggers. Thought I was doing everything right, but the fish thought otherwise. I did catch several between 12" and 18" jigging a gold Hopkins spoon in 25-40 ft of water near the dam though. Since I live in VA, I do not get up to Raystown much so perhaps I will get up there another time or two before the end fo the year and try again... I did not chart as many fish as I thought I would have on my fish finder. At times I charted what appeared to be huge schools of fish very deep. No idea what kind or fish they were though...
