Just a heads up for youse guys running bigger motors than 10 hp, Talked to a guy who stopped in  today at Pymatuning Boats Sales while I was there, who had just been told to leave the lake and not return until he had a smaller motor, he also told me the WCO had a list of other boats registration numbers whom he also told to leave, so, if your running a bigger motor youve been forewarned, sounds like the WCO was half decent as he warned first and told them next time hes writing. For you guys running hondas, be sure to remove the sticker that says BF 20 on top of the tilt tube, other makes also have these serial tags, I think Tohatsus are on the side of the lower cowling

I ran into a person at Linesville on Thursday the 17th. He said he was told to not come back to  Pymatuning with that motor.

I am so sick of the same old b-tch and whine posts. The rules are 10hp. If you cannot follow these rules and do not like it, fish another lake or get the laws changed. This is why we are doomed as a society, we want to break the laws and not be men enough to accept the consequences. If you know you are breaking the law take it like a man , don't cry and play fair next time. Using a word like gestapo is a disgrace. The officers are out doing a job. You would be the first to b-tch if they weren't there when you need them. Leave the lake, go to Mosquito, we'll enjoy cruising the lake and enjoying ourselves without you.

I dont even boat on that mudhole, but, the gestapo description fits as most PFBC officers are a disgrace and also an insult to normal intelligence, I make this observation after living near the lake for 35 years and seeing the tactics they use and before you bash me for this post its only my opinion, and also the opinion of most local businesses related to the lake

At least they are giving people a warning first.  I was surprised to read that.

If they handcuffed you and hauled you off to jail along with impounding your boat and motor then the gestapo label might fit. As it is it sounds like a fairly easy going warden doing his job.

As far as "attacking out of the blue", I responded to a posting by another member. I don't agree with him and if my vision is correct I still live in America where it is okay to disagree. There a jerks in any line of work, but, the guys that are ou there to enforce any laws are always taking a beating because they see people at their worst. I am not sorry for the position I have stated , I am sorry if you were offended. I am just tired of something that will probably be posted on 100 times instead of discussing what you can do to get the laws changed.

I don't see how they can tell you to stay away with a certain motor, If I'm breaking the law prove it and bust me. Short of having a Dyno at the dock and checking my motor and proving it's over ten horse. They can only make threats and scare a few. That's why they are not writing tickets..When was the last time you saw a fish cop pass up that many opportunities for revenue....

it's one thing to disagree with the law and another to disagree and break it.  most guys have no problems with 15 or 20s, but until the law is changed, it is still the law.  be glad they are only giving warnings.

To all who are interested i understand tehy are giving tickets, linesville area.I had a buddy who got caught last year at the espyville marina. He was told do not move his pontoon until a smaller motor was put on.He actually was running a 25 horse. He got a ticket, was told they are watching others also.He was aware of what he had on his pontoon. When he bought it was told by a boat dealer in pymatuning, that it was going to change. That was three years ago.

I agree the law should be changed.  I am told it is OH state government that has to move, PA has already passed it.  If you are from OH and want 20hp, contact your state legislator.  Because there are only a few people that actually post on this board, and I'm sure you read all the strings, you have probably already read the "Pymatuning Horsepower" string.

Disagreeing is ok.  Civil people can disagree.  Why jump to insults right away.  When you approach two people talking rationally in the street, do you run up to them and start screaming and insulting them if you overhear them saying something you don't agree with?  For some reason this is common online.  It gets these discussions off track of communicating anything and turns them into just a fight.  Then in the end noone learns anything or understands the other guys opinion better, they just feel like embarassing or insulting the guy back to save face.

By the way, I understand your opinion better, it's the law, not the enforcement.  Total agreement there.  Change the law, lets talk about that.
