Em' boys have their hardware polished and are eager to start pushing each other around. Watched a big fellow approach three smaller deer, walked up to each of the smaller deer(bucks) and faced them. He then proceeded to push them around a little before he ventured off to graze. Was interesting to watch. He did them no harm just let them know who was boss.

They are getting active no doubt.  I hope to have a run in with the bruiser that did this.  I think it is one I have been watching, but a landowner tells me there are three brutes and the one I am seeing is the smallest of them...

Never needed one, just always scouted well, picked spots I could read, set up on the corridors where I felt the big bucks would travel, and then hunted them when the "time was right" to do so.   I don't criticize people who use cameras, it is just not for me...  much the same as I will not hunt over bait, even where it is legal.

In my experience a buck has got to be around 5.5 yo to do such a thing.  An impressive rub for Sept.   You got yourself a hammer right there brother.  Good luck with that.

MM I actually watched a very wide 4 point rub a tree as big as that tree last season. Then again I seen a huge 8 point mangle a dinky little tree So sometimes ya never know.
That same 4point is still a 4 point this year kinda sucks. But seen a 2 monsters last night after hanging a new stand. They were sprawling around a little was pretty cool and of coarse no camera !!!!!!!!!!
