Do any of uyou ever go to a pay lake even though you have your licsense? I personally don't like to go to pay lakes even though they almost guarentee you to catch something. I have a Brother-in-law who swears by them.  He likes to go to Paradise lakes. my brother went to 84 pay lake today and said he had a lot of hits. let me know what you all think!

Mountian Man, you dont win because you need some big fish bait!!! LOL...
All jokes aside.. all that european style pack bait is good for numbers and sometimes big fish...
but go to the old time pay lake baits and your wins will improve..
I use the pack baits and other stuff i get from wacker for combined weight but always fish one rod just plain cornmeal that is big fish bait!!!! If you know how to fish a pile which i think you do....Put some cornmeam 10 to 15 ft outside your pile...and at night 5ft off the bank...

Visit sandylake this summer they just got a load of big fish about a month ago should be fun this yr...

I fished paradise lake last year even though I buy my license, seems absurd to spend extra money on fishing when we pay $37 for a licenseto begin with ,even had a good time and caught 2 nice flatheads in the lower pond, their stocking it today

Speaking of pay lakes .... Ambridge Sportsmans Club opens this Saturday 3-23-08 . They are located in Beaver County . Typically it costs around $10-12 per person to fish & compete in the pools . It is a nice little lake to brake up the time lost in waiting for opening day . Thier phone number is 724-869-9749 . I believe the lake opens between 7-8 am and you have a chance to win some dough & catch some larger than average trout .

I used to fish some of the pay lakes in NEPA as a kid. Always garenteed fish but the prices are ridiculous. They are all trout lakes with an occasional bass, pickerel, or LL salmon. They don't allow you to release anything and then charge you a ridiculous fee for the fish (usually $4-5 a pound) At the prices they charge its cheaper just to go to the fish market and buy them, or just fish the creeks that usually run right next to these places that are stocked and can be fished for free.

I just know too many waters, many that see little to no pressure, to have to pay even more to catch fish.
