As an alumni I can say this.

They are overrated and are every year. They couldn't finish in the top two in the SEC most of the time.

The are the best in the big 10 though.

I guess psu coaching staff forgot they had 3 time outs to use on that drive by iowa. Then the drive where clark threw the interception i wondered where evan royster was he is the man he can drag 3 people an get 8 yards. Oh i forgot if williams doesnt get his 100 touches a game hes not happy.

I can't understand why Penn state came out throwing into a gusting 20 mph wind to start the game. Also, why they didn't call a time out when the play clock was down to 2 seconds towards the end of the game, and they called a running play on third down and ran right at the strenght of Iowa's line and failed to convert. Then after Iowa intercepted late in the 4 th quarter, Penn state seemed to go into a bend but don't brake defense that allowed Iowa to march up the field. I don't think Penn state even rushed more than 4 guys at any one time, and by so doing they couldn't put enough pressure on the quarterback. I also noticed that the officials gave a very generouse spot of the ball on two occasions. All in all it boils down to the fact that Penn state didn't play well enough to win the game. It was Iowa's game to win, and they did. End of story.

Couldn't of happened to a better coaching staff. You feel bad for the kids, but such is life.

Oh and brace yourself for the "Pitt is better than Penn State because they beat Iowa", you know somone is going to bring that up. It's completely untrue, but you know someone is going to use that...

Yeah that's all I've been hearing at work. I'm still fired up by it. How do we crush Wisconsin away... grind one out away at Ohio State and then drop this game to Iowa. Blows my mind... I've been saying this was a trap game all season and it was.

I don't know... I just can't believe they could overlook them. Clark was horrible he didn't look himself. We can go around all day passing the blame around on this one... but I'm sick of talking about it already. This is what I get for getting my hopes up for a Nat'l title. Now hopefully we can win out and play USC or Oregon St in the Rose bowl.
