I had one of the baitfeeder models, the smallest size.  It seemed very smooth and the drag was good.  I ruined the antireverse by getting line wrapped around the shaft somehow though.

Ive never bought a spin reel from okuma. I do have fly and one with counters for the walleye rods and i like both. I dont see you being unhappy with a spin reel from okuma.

Okuma spinning reels are not too bad for the money.

I test drove an Okuma large arbor that Flyfishingdave loaned me...for 56 bucks it was the BOMB. Good reel.

I have an Okuma Epixor EF20, great reel.  I use it all year, and even through February.  Works great in the cold.  Other reels I have had freeze up.  I would get the bigger size EF30 if I were buying again.  Mono wraps around the smaller spools tight and has a lot of memory = line mess.  I read an article from an Alaskan magazine the recommended this reel as well as the Shakespeare President for cold weather.

I own many different models of Okuma, including Epixor, and they have all been trouble free reels.
