Has anyone been fishing there recently? Planning on making a trip up this weekend seeing what spots are good. Not sure if they stopped hitting yet on the pier? Thanks, Eman

Smallie bite is decent.
Still a ton of Largemouth.
Perch is slow.
Gills are good.
Even heard a guy caught a 7 lb Walleye the other evening.

Got up there on saturday around noon fishing the evening got a largemouth on every cast for about two hours straight until i ran out of bait.. Then went back to BAC Bait on Sunday to get more bait and they were sold out until Wednesday. (HATE BAC BAIT! GO POOR RICHARDS!) and the fishing declined alot. Went into the bay on Sunday Night got two on my top water frog with a couple other missses but was generally slow. People were getting smallies on poppers but bite was slow for the most part. When i was at the pier the ship was docking for the sand and literally i watched 3 boats get smashed into the pier from the ship, as well as the guy on the pier almost throw the construction worker into the water. It was a sight to see.. nothing funny at all the one boat had about 6 kids on the front of it and they smashed into the ship lucky the kids didnt fall into the water, they were dead for sure.. Eman
