I often go to North Park to catch bluegills for bait.  I know they stock it with trout.  Are there any other species in the lake worth fishing for.  I have read that they stock it with Tiger Muskies and Large Mouths.  Anyone fish for those species there?

Thanks

I was there over the weekend, not fishing.  There is a ton of vegetation in the lake.  It would be worth a shot on a boat, but little access by land to the areas that are not over run by veggies.  There are some nice bass in the lake, have heard of other species too.  I wouldn't go there expecting to catch more than panfish, unless you know the lake or others like it.

Ihave caught bass here but not in large numbers or great size.  I believe the best area is the downed structure around the island in the main lake.  There is also some nice structure right along the road (babcock I believe).  I also caught a small muskie about 20 inches several years ago up by the spillway by the boat house, but this is very overgrown with weeds making it difficult to fish.

I used to always go up to North Park. I averaged about 3 or 4 largemouth by the island. I've seen guys in kayaks around that island slamming them.

Heres an update. Fished the lake yesterday for about four hours.  I caught 1 very nice sized largemouth and a carp.  Not a lot of action for four hours, but I would be willing to try again.

I've caught several fish on crankbaits, spinner baits and buzz baits around the island.  There is plenty of structure there and lots of downed trees.

Tiger mucky are definetly there, just not in very large numbers or sizes. Caught a few over the last couple years nothing over 18 - 19 inches. All caught on minnows. My favorite spots are not even on the lake itself. The first small spillway on the feeder stream always produced large numbers of bass, catfish and just about everything else. Also below the damn has a few decent sized fish as well.
