North East winds  with two to three footers  rolling in mud line out about one mile, water temp dropped two deg. laker's are still good at 50 ft. might be a bit tough for small mouth.
No eye's yet. A couple three eye's picked up off the north East corner of the dump earlier this week.

Goose, a buddy and me are going out tomorrow out of east ave. The lake is probably going to be too rough for my boat in northeast. I'll be heading out early afternoon. Let me know how you did

Goin for whatever will bite. Hoping to get a smallie or steely maybe even a walleye if I'm lucky. Not much of a perch jerker anymore

9:00 just got back from shades beach the water layed down does not look too bad if the wind holds off for the night. Talked to the head boat captain, the anglers on board are picking at the perch nothing too fast, but a good number of jumbo's mixed in.

Gimme a good report. My trip was a bust. My so called partner bailed on me at the last minute.  Will try later.

Well Goose, I wish I could give you a good report. All I had all day was 2 pole benders. One was on for about 20ft of reeling and the other came off before I could grab the pole. Not sure what they were but the one did feel like a walleye fight. I think my main problem was the plugs fouled out on my kicker. With it I was keeping a good 1.6 to 1.7 mph on the gps. Then I had to run my big motor and could not get it below 2.2. Never had a bite with the big motor running, I think it was just too fast for the colder water. The color they hit on was my own make. Black, purple and red willows with a berkely worm. the lake was beautiful today. It almost went to glass for awhile and was pretty warm until about 6 when the west wind started kicking up.

On a side note, I heard there was a big laker taken into PI Angler today. Not sure if I heard right but believe it was 25lbs. Didnt hear where it was caught but would guess out by the mountain.

Taz

Dumb question . When those guys target lakers do they run flashers with spoons behind em off riggers / dipsys? As the water warms I would imagine the lakers move deeper to stay in that 55 degree thermocline ?

When I target lake trout I use 95% spoons. Lake Trout are not in the thermocline the love the freezing ice cold water 39 degrees I have never heard of a lake Trout caught in the thermocline. Not that it couldnt happen but I dont target them in that temp and havent caught any while walleye and steelhead fishing. Riggers often are the best and dipsys 2nd but you can also get your planer boards to chip in with proper techniques

Thanks for the reply .... Do you think flashers / spin doctors would help my presentation or a plain jane spoon do the trick ????

Like I said I run mostly spoons, I have tried spin doctors and and flashers and havent took any fish on them, however who is to say that it didnt suck something into your spread? A little pioneering never hurts. I run one spin doctor everytime hoping to take something, so far tho no luck
