The Fish and Boat Commission advised us that their new flow gauge is up on Walnut Creek. It is located in the Project Waters at the access area. We put a link to it on the "Weather and Waves" page of the FishErie site, and you view it directly here:

Thanks Dan.

It should be noted, just to head off any comments about the PF&BC "wasting" money. It is not "THEIR" flow gauge. It belongs to, and was installed by, the USGS. THey have a few reasons for collecting this data, none of which is related to fishing conditions. That, at whatever level the gauge provides, is simply a side benefit.

True Spoon.  Speaking of not wasting money, it would be nice to see the PFBC start working with NOAA to get another bouy installed in the vicnity.

I am glad to see that we will be able to view the data.

Great addition. I'd like to see one on Elk also.

The USGS web site for the gage says it is 150 feet downstream from the Manchester bridge. That would put it in the hole above the stop sign hole, correct?

I think it is on the concrete wall on the east side (the road side of the stream), between the stop sign hole and the bridge.

Its on the east side of the creek . Turn off of manchester rd.  and enter walnut creek access and its just down about 100 yards or so on the left... If you miss it your blind

I know its along the walnut creek access road. I'm trying to figure out what hole it is in. Since it has been measuring just below 4.5 feet it has to be in a hole, besides that's what the name of the gage is, Walnut Creek Upstream Pool, near Erie, PA.
