Is it possible to re-tap the threads for the breach plug on an inline muzzelloader? I ripped the threads in mine pretty good trying to get a stuck load out, now the breach plug won't screw in. Anything I can do besides dropping back 10 and punting it?

btw, I know I'm a jack-ass for doing this,,I don't need to be told anymore.,,ty

A gunsmith should be able to run a tap through the existing threads and clean them up for you.
