Max, I fish that stretch of the Mohawk frequently. For walleyes, your best bet is in the early morning or at night as they will be moving around , especially at the locks (stick baits work well) Smallmouths are the dominant bass species between Locks 8 & 9 and beyond. Lots of rocks and weed edges along this stretch. As you head towards Lock 7, you will find large mouths as well as northerns and muskies ( in the Rexford area where they are stocked by DEC - at least they used to be.) hope this helps. Explorer33
