Hi all,

I posted this in the Southwest forum and some one told me it belongs here.  So i'll post it here too.

I'm heading to that area this weekend for some camping and would like to wet a line.  Anyone have any info on fishing this area?  Any and all info is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Wes

Tionesta Creek is stocked all along there.  Plenty of access, if weather is ok you might get a few.  You could also try Blue Jay Creek.  It runs into the Tionesta a few miles upstream from Minister.  The mouth of Blue Jay is right below the old bridge.  I like the headwaters of Tionest better though.  More pools instead of the long shallow runs in the Minister Creek area.  Beautiful country though.

Mike,

Thanks for the reply.  It is beautiful in that area.  Have you ever fish for Smallies in the Tionesta?  Is it worth a try?

Wes

Never fished for or caught any smallies in Tionesta above the dam. They are fairly common from the dam to the river though.  I've fished more towards the headwaters.  I've seen muskies a ways up the stream from the reservoir.
