I'm gonna definitely give it a go. I have to admit though, giving an app or a web sight permission to access my files makes me a bit edgy. To make myself feel a tad bit better, I'll create a seperate file for posting through the app/sight.

The sight does resize and readies the photo for posting to blogs but it doesn't seem to work with my phone.

As for the duck breast, you can stop that anytime and I don't think I need mention I am jealous😞

Looks really yummy.

I sure do miss duck meals. In the 1970's I guided duck hunters in Canada and for a few years ate duck at least once a week in fall. Back then I could eat a whole Mallard or Black duck with potatoes for supper. Yum yum, one of my favorite meals. We plucked them and roasted them in a self basting roast pan, stuffed with the giblets onions and half dozen garlic cloves. Oh how I miss that. Ate plenty of Bluebills, Whistlers, Scotters, and Butterballs too but the big puddleducks were my favorite. I sometimes would pluck them in the blind while waiting on next action. I walk out of the woods plucking my Turkeys also. So much easier while the birds are still warm, and they cool faster to.
Another meal that I love. Smoked trout, and I am going to satisfy that craving soon. Yum Yum.

Thunderpole, which method/size do you use to upload the picture on the photo site or which link do you copy to insert it? I like how yours show as thumbnail type pictures that can then be viewed full size by clicking on them.  I havent found the right combination to get them to attach that way.

Cool, thank you for your help. Do you then paste the link directly on the forum page or into the [upload file(s) to the server] window?

I've tried both, only seeing the "link" and not the picture when using my phone. This happens too when I paste the "link" from my resized files directly to the upload window but then I see the file number listed whereby I click on that number and my picture(s) appear. 😠"If" resized properly.

Haven't taken time to create a private file, from which I can feel safe giving the app. permission to have free access so I can try the different links.

The picture ends up in the body of the message, which is ok, but when it shows as a thumbnail, like in thunderpole's posts you click on it and see the picture in a larger window, which is nice for details and keeps the message size itself from getting cumbersome.

This is what I'm seeing with your 2nd test. Full size. (Beautiful too) I do however agree on the thumbnails.

That's what happens when I post my pictures after I downsize then link my file through the page [upload file(s) to server] window. If I do not click the link before submitting, I get a thumbnail.

When I use the app, I have no way to click the link and the reader must do so like I had to in your first post.

I'm confused😭

For what it"s worth, I like it better when the full size picture appears in the text, rather than having the pic appear in a thumb nail at the end of the post. That is as long as the pic isn't too big, or huge.

So I should quit giving myself a headache and be happy I was able to at least get pictures to post again... I like that idea, lol

In my opinion, yes. That way you can have descriptive text before, and after each pic as they're presented in the post......And there is also that lack of a headache and being happy thing.

Re: Trout fishing 2020/05/14 19:43:38 (permalink)
If you want thumbnails and are posting from a phone I have an app simply called "photo & picture resizer" on mine. Sipmly resize the picture in the app, and then when you "upload the file to the server" on the fishusa forum, pick the resized picture from your documents. I agree about the thumbnails. Its nice to get them full screen and zoom in for detail if that's what you like. For what its worth I only view this forum on my phone, so I don't know what its like on an actual computer.

Sorry to blow up the trout fishing thread some more, but just trying to help out. Keep all them great pics comming thunder!

Just make your pic size bigger like you did above for best detail.

If your text words are getting split up it's because you have to left click your mouse and hit enter key to create a space between text and photo.... do this before you embed the URL.
Another words have you URL already in the TV window loaded....left click mouse at the end of text message ...hit enter to create a space now apply URL . Same applies for loading multi photos in same message .

Sometimes the URL window blocks the space on shorter texts when ready to apply just hit enter key a few times it should move your marker down ...then embed loaded URL photo.

Hope it helps .

I forgot ....I'm talking loading pics from a computer not phone ....not sure how phones work with this program .

PCB ingestion is a slow internal organ killer ...stick with the Pymy lake eyes much safer...remember what happened in the past about not being sick .....lol

I agree the walleyes in the lower Sharpsville Dam river look healthy, but chemists and biologists say much different . I free all there .....and order my fish from Carini's ....lol
