Anybody got prediction for water levels tHis weekend

forecast for Erie Pa is calling for  an 80% chance of precip  Friday
That could mean anything from not a drop of any significance to a  local downpour deluge

My "prediction" according to my Magic 8 Ball ..they'll be on the low side with some stain .
Creeks WILL be fishable
whether or not the clarity allows you to see all the moldy beat up boots in the bottom of holes, I know not at this time

Remind me, and I'll consult the Magic 8 Ball on that Friday evening

How many of yinz run 100% fluorocarbon as the main line? Or do most use mono then a fluro leader on a spinning reel set-up

Fluro has a lot of memory so its a waste to full spool it in my opinion... but then again i havent used my spinning rod in quite awhile but when i do it is spooled with a small amount of 6lb mono to 8lb fireline then on the business end i use a microswivel to fluro length/diameter per water depth/ conditions

'bout the worst line in the world to spool a spinning rod with
It's pure crAp in the 4 to 8 pound test wt commonly used for creek fishing

abrasion resistance is nil
memory is dreadful
a few hours of cast 'n retrieve or play a few big fish, the first 30ft of  line gets and opaque dullness to it.
Then it's ready to snap anywhere at anytime

it's pure  jUnk on a spinning reel

This is the opposite of what yinz are sayin, but I got tired of tying line to line (mono to flouro) in freezin temps, my dangers be cold yo. So two years ago I tried it. Spooled seaguar blue label flouro, 6lb. It was a pain the first hour or so-line flyin of the reel when I opened the bale. But since then I've had almost no issues. The occasional tangle/birds nest that happens with any spinning reel, but that's it. I barely ever break off a steelie.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

i run all flouro.... ive never had a problem with it... ive used mono with a  flouro leader... but imo the more knots in your line the more weak spots there are.... also i dont feel like retying leaders all the time and especially because it seems after every fish i have to retie the hook bc the line near the mouth gets frayed ....

but the memory on flouro does suck.... you almost have to tie a perfect knot so it doenst get all kinky lookin

Yes...retying after a decent fight is always a good idea! I learned my lesson on that one. Every time I looked at the last 12 inches of my line and thought: "hmm, that don't look good, I should re tie it" and then got lazy, I paid the price!

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

That's the heat generated by the friction of pulling the knot tight that kinks it like that. Wet the knot good before tightening.

Use nose grease to wet the line where the knots going to be.

Caught one  jack in 20mile, didn't see many fish or anglers on the middle to upper section of 20 mile. Should've went to western side of county..

Went up Sunday. Managed 3 of 5 between Elk and Trout Run. Was very very slow, then they turned on for about 30 minutes. Then shut back off.
