Just a WAG, Cadis

but figure he means the lower access area since he mentioned "ease of access" for his Pop

He may not be aware that 75-100 fish in the ManHole is chump change compared to the Glow'ree Dayz of  years past.
In essence, it WAS, and IS  a lot of fish to them

I believe "the basin" is that area of Walnut Creek where the boat launch is located.  It's the big open pond like area where the docks are in the summer.

D-nymph is correct. It is the boat basin where the docks have been removed.

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Sorry for the confusion Cdcaddis, I was referring to the Walnut Creek Marina at the mouth of Walnut. We always referred to it as the "basin". It is a good place to fish for anyone that can't walk far, stand long or isn't stable enough to wade anymore. Parking is close and if you wanted you could use a chair. We have always had luck catching some there.

Cdcaddis, my reply wasn't directed at you or Nerka. There are some on here that only like to cause problems for others( start verbal wars ). Nerka was making light of these "trolls". It's good to share info with people and receive some also.

I have seen many posts on this forum that start off with good intentions and then take a nose dive with a lot of negativity and vitriol.
I believe a lot of it is mis-interpretation by some over sensitive people.
but as for the "spot burning" thing that is very real and true, and a good reason for argument to ensue. If 12 people respond to a post saying theres a ton of fish at so and so location and that post has 600 views. That spot is gonna be swamped with people within hours/ a day, as there are a ton of more lurkers than there are actual participants on these forums. Your question is not out of the ordinary but is something that could have been handled better with more of a direct approach (pm to redman) you will find the guys are generally good and of help in private message/in person, yet secretive or defensive in forum. i know this is a general topic discussion forum but spots and locations of fish is a touchy subject on this board and your bound to get some off the wall responses. No harm, no foul. I always look forward to seeing more people participating in discussions.

Well, if it takes that long... Either you will have a stroke or the fish will. For the sake of the fishery I hope it's you...

After his epic fight and kicking the fish ashore. Minutes later he will take one of his Killer Pictures. I wonder how many fish he has killed on the Delaware in the last 50 years taking needless photos?

Now he comes on here wanting to be spoon fed info on spots. As soon as he sees a report, comes on here asking for gps coordinates.

And people wonder why these forums have turned to s***

An older guy that can't wade around as much because of health issues comes on here to get some clarification on an easily accessible location to do some fishing, and it turns into this. I can see if it was a younger healthier dude wanting everything including the hot bait so he can rope up his limits on his 10 day trip from WV, but that doesn't seem to be the case here

These forums have been slow and chit for years. I remember when it was hardcore hazing the newbies (you stood the heat you earned your spot and made some new friends) and all the stupid stuff..Fish Pics thread, the guru, oxybob, aweful photoshops. Almost all the threads were hilarious.

Thin skinned people with health issues should stay far away from walnut in the first place IMO..well any stiLhed trib in Erie..just saying.
