Walnut Creek Access

May get a bit crazy this year with 1 lane boat traffic !

    Can't wait to try to hit a "one lane bridge" when she blows up and 200 boats are gunning for the marina...
     
     ...but wait "In-stream work will be suspended during the steelhead migration from late fall to early spring"

    Any link to this? I am staying near Elk Creek in Lake city when I come up next month. Will this affect traffic to PIB from Lake City? Or is this just a ramp construction project?

    The launch and marina at Walnut Creek may get a bit hectic this year with one way boat traffic in and out of the channel, storm rolls in and there will be a boat jam trying to get in,probably be a lot of happy people waving at each other and so on ! I don't think Presque Isle will suffer any affects from this.

    No this will not affect what you want to do. It is work on a boat launch that is overdue.

    What other ramp area could you use over that way on the west side that has good ramps to get in and enough parking

    Is the steelhead starting already. Any perch schooling up. I guess the launch area is really packed on the weekend. Thanks for all info.
