I did pretty good this weekend fishing in my local creek (in a suburb of Pittsburgh), caught 20 Rainbows (9-14"), 2 Browns (12-14"), and an 18" White Sucker. All released.

Went on the first day for the first time in 40 years. Got to the stream at about 10:00 in hopes that the crowd dispersed a little. It did not.

That section of stream runs near a country road for about 6.5 miles. I could not find a parking place in that entire distance. It looked like tailgating at a sporting event. People even had tents pitched along the road.

So I went home because I had better things to do.

I did do well on the Little J Friday morning in a cloud of Grannoms for about an hour or so.

We didn't bring any food to camp so that fish had to feed three of us!  We did it Survivor style.

Opening day? Lucky enough to live near one of the best year round catch and release trout fisheries in the country.
