Ummm no Thunderpole, the people I spoke with were not just about catching but about getting out to enjoy fishing.

There was no mention of being out enjoying the outdoors because of reports posted by area bait shops or stories, generated and posted on social media by wannabe journalist.

After you headed eat last year Ronnie there was a group of about 7 guys fishing to the right of the end of the trail almost every night then 5 at the popular spot left of the point under the light. Not to mention the 4 boats hanging out just beyond casting distance! Wading has gotten more popular for sure but from what I saw their catching was limited!

Them just the people awaiting the arrival of April 15th. They just got their lakes mixed up when they heard the fishes was jumping.

I hear ya about the stupid deer.

But ain't it fun anyway.

Good luck with the waves. Keep an eye on the weather. NWS issued a winter storm advisory for the area.

Remember...... nooooo spot burning.

Copy the daddy duties buddy. Cherish the time. Won't be long till your teaching your new fishing buddy how to cast then before ya know it, you'll be asked for the keys to the boat.

Gotta power wash the humble adobe to ready it for a fresh coat of oil this weekend but let me know, what time if you do go, I'll try and sneak away for a bit.

Gave it a shot for a while this evening until I tripped on a log and took a bath. **** the luck. Had a few bumps before I retreated home. Hoping the action heats up soon. Still waiting for that first legal eye of the year.

Ps. My body with soaked clothes is still saying the water temp is hanging around bbbrrrrrrrrr...

Good luck everyone!

Outasync if you do go watch out for that guy in the Fisher. That dude buzzes around the lake and harassed me all day Wednesday.

He hee Walleye Bill sure is happy with his new motor.

I got a few pictures and sent them to him, the boat looks good on the water and his refurb work is excellent.

Crappie_Slayer sorry to hear of your dunking.

Yesterday, my sonar was reading 48 degree water temperature with a few exceptions of 50 very near some shoreline.

Brrrrr to say the least, reading your story has me going for the Hot Toddy cold remedy. 🍹

Thanks for the report, enjoyed the read.

Did get a chance to get the boat out Tues. night for the first time this yr... Catfish were jumping when we played Black Water, I only caught 2 though. Played Drift Away a few times and managed a couple Eyes then ended the night with candle in the wind for 4 Slabs. Very slow night with lots ov snags. Lost some others at side ov boat, left net in driveway

Fish were on the healthy side.

Crawlers were easy pickins Mon. night

Should just stick with Arthur for now to get some confidence back

Nice..... congratulations.

Thought we might cross paths Wed. but to be honest, I forget what boat to look for. I'm thinkin' a black Starcraft?

I dunno, maybe it's 'cause I'm lookin' at so many Starcraft boats lately.

I had a Lund Rebel SS, blue/silver out Tues. night. When we got back to the dock we were the only ones in the parking lot. Don't know if my son took out his Fisher last night or a Fish Hawk?? Not to worry his Fisher only has a Merc. 15 hp. so don't think it was him buzzin' 'round u
Gotta go outside now & get those stupid fish that have been on ice & clean 'em before the coons have a feast. Was too burnt out for it yesterday. Should be able to have a good week at Arthur on Crappy, Bryds & Pike if I get out some. Love the fight this time ov yr. on the Byrds & Toothie critters & purdy easy to get into most times.

Ha haaaa I know who it was strutin' his stuff Wed.

Trucker buddy of mine having some fun with his new 20 horse.

Motor made a big difference for him. Boat looked good on the water.

Snowing heavily at my place, guess the weather dude is gonna be correct this time and the Pymie area will get the 5 to 7 forecast.

Sat. to be warmer but could be messy for a day. May have to head south to Arthur or maybe Wilhelm myself.

Enjoy your fish.

  C.S. ,

If he would quit looking at his phone he could do much better! He does great on the Bass fishing up there but I lost my moejoe many moons ago with all the work that goes into it. Hope he slows down/changes his way & would constraint on Crappie & Eyes so it is more enjoyable for me to fish with him.

Thanks,
