Lots of critics

Lots of people like to complain about the steelhead fishery, the fish themselves and the guys who fish for them. I think it's great.

    Sorry for the negative connotation to the original post. Just Nate having a good time with the camera and me pulling the chain of the steelhead haters.  What a great time on the creeks the last month.

    been following you on fb, jim.  the only thing missing is mike in one of those pics.  your reputation remains ironclad after all these years.  great pics and vids.

    Thanks guys, it's been fun.Haven't gotten out as much as I used to or would like to. 8 days so far and I guess the point of the post was, no problems. Not with snaggers, or crowds,or posted property,or fish numbers,or low clear water. Just good times, with lots of fish, bent rods, and smiles.It might not be the famous steelhead rivers of the west coast, but when I'm there, I feel pretty lucky, and there really is no place I'd rather be.

    Tim, no it hasn't been great. Warmer temps and fish that run like torpedoes, that's terrible! What will be truly great is when it's so cold you can't feel your fingers or toes, the fish fight like a wet boot, and the creeks freeze over daily. You must not be a "real" steelhead fishrmn. Tsk tsk.
