Woodcock Report 10-19

Decided to give woodcock a try last night.  Looks like they're starting to draw the lake down, but the dock is still in.  Fished 5-8pm.  Managed 2 keeper walleye and one perch.  7-10 FOW.  As soon as the wind died and the sun went down, somebody flipped the switch and the fish were done.  Was nice to get a few keepers out of here, usually gives me a lot of 14 1/2" fish.

Hit it again yesterday 10-26.  The docks are now out and they drew the lake down about another 3ft or so.  Fished 3-7pm.  Within about an 1-1/2 hour window we caught 8 shortys form 10-14" and 1 legal walleye.

Not quite sure how long it takes them to get it down to winter pool, but looks like they've still got a ways to go.
