With steel close to home for you and snow in the forecast for the next 6 months I don't blame you... Nice report though. Question though: when you say pass I assume you're referring to a downstream work through an area with many casts? Or is a pass just a cast?
I agree with guys landing more with spinning gear, but I seem to be able to land more with a fly rod I've noticed...go figure???

Seems a shame to waste the gift water, especially since DSR reports that it turned on pretty good in the upper water, although they say the first 2 hours were best, so maybe they are still talking the water below the little black, always did like that piece!
You say they are off the swing, but it sounds like the fishers in the run hit the players early, and then there were no more freshies, so it turned off for everyone.
I still don't think I can take a chance on this weather with a big crowd also predicted, but we shall see what tomorrow brings. Local water is shaping up again, too.

We're betwwen 1/2 and 3/4 " of rain now with 0.1 to0.25 in the forecast. IC is up and still rising. Portageville has skyrocketed so there would be about a 4 day window here, but the City is all runoff, so Ford Street has jumped 200 over night. I would silver hammer down, I think.

Did the shaft and the parking lot, only beat kings around, headed out to do the frog dance again, but changed up and took the gorge walk. Saw Davie Z at the top he said yesterday was good, I had one pull and off (end of the swing), and the pinner up at the casting rock did one about 10. Water was up about a foot from the 1500 I saw last week, and I think it will blow out more in the next couple of days.
