Found Ethanol Free Gas

I just got a mailer from Country Fair. Two of the stores up here have 91 octane ethanol free gasoline. The stores are at 12th and Peninsula and 8th and Bayfront. That's on the way to the bay from both sides.

I pulled up to the pump at 8th and the bayfront on the only pump that was open and the price of ethanol free gas is 10-15 cents more per gallon than midgrade unleaded.

It usually costs more because of federal and state tax incentives for ethanol that doesn't apply to ethanol free pure gas.  I'd rather run ethanol free regular unleaded at a higher cost than midgrade unleaded E10.  The ethanol free should be way cleaner and also give you slightly better MPG.

I suppose this will fit in here on this thread in some obscure way. There are two local gas stations near my home on corners right across the street from each other. There are no barriers to vehicles to get from one side of the street to the other. One charges $3.79 for Reg unleaded and the other $3.89 for the same gasoline. I don't get it. Three miles away another guy charges $3.71 for the same gasoline, but he is the exception. Perhaps it's their suppliers price or perhaps it's the price the owners want to set. We're still way better off than California gas prices though.

The ole 1977 boat loves me again, after I filled her up with EFG 91.
