Speakin of November which is right around the corner, I've not heard Gordon Lightfoot on the radio yet?

You are too far from the Canadian border.   Here in Rachacha, after the candyfest on Thursday night, it'll be Xmas carol, gales of November, Xmas carol, gales of November…. on the radio, until Xmas!

I hear ya Lucky and like the Autumn colors so shall the songs of November move south into my neighborhood.

Christmas however has arrived, it's in every dam Walmart store, wherever you are.

Makes me wonder, have I somehow in my travels, missed Thanksgiving?🤔

But enough of that for now, tell me more of this "candy fest" you speak of. A November tradition worth traveling for, may I ask?

We are planning our fall travels for next year and wish to visit the New England States.

Absolute downpours for several hours , a few minutes light rain and then back to monsoon in the afternoon. I would say several inches so far.  it was warm though.

Basically the same in the mid Hudson region.  I got two alerts today one calling for sub freezing temperatures Friday night into Saturday morning and the other stating a chance of severe thunderstorms tonight through midnight.  The ground is like a sponge as you can hear and feel the water as you step.

Super high winds here. On and off rains with heaviest in next 4 hrs coming. Possible Tornado stuff being posted on radio . Possible snow at my deer camp if cold front hits before dawn and storm clears out.
Tomorrow looks still windy on the backend but temps to the low 50's.
Saturday and Sunday settle down with clear and little winds , highs in low 50's - lows about 35 at night.
I can't wait to hit the camper and woods.

Long range seems stable through mid November. Highs in upper 40s' - mid 50's with lows freezing or just below.
As long as I get my camper out by November 14th, it can do what it needs to after that

Even standing with arms down at sides with a good raincoat, I was soaked to the shoulders in 3.5 hrs from capillary action up my fleece hoodie under the raincoat.  Absolutely the worst rain I have ever stood around getting no bites whatsoever in!

Yes, we booked a room in P-Town for this week, and Ma Nature is tired of raining on our parade, so 6-10" SNOW with another 1-3" SNOW every day and evening for the next two days here in Rachacha, and slightly less in Pulaski.  I may have to cancel, and hope for some Indian Summer next week.  This season has been the suck weather wise!

Its starting to come down , what I would consider light but steady. When\if it melts here is little room for it to go as the ground is saturated.  Could be single digits in the wind due to th colds coming mid week, dress warm if you get out

Clint, just rain here in NW PA. (45 min south of city of Erie)

We're to expect 3 to 6" of snow from the first blast followed by another 6 to 8" of lake effect through Wed.

Of course, snow accumulation here, will be determined by the direction of the bands of snow, coming off of Lake Erie.

Well, I ain't taking no chance and headed out earlier this afternoon for a well stocked supply of tater chips & dip; Fritos scoops salsa and dipping cheese; micro-wave sghetti & meatballs; and a big bag of Snickers.😊

I'm ready... let it snow, let it snow.🤗

Be safe.

Well I've been living in a camper since Saturday. Weather has been decent so far. All about to change tonight. I will once again spend another day staring at trees tomorrow. I sure hope I can get it out otherwise the mice will have a winter home.

Re:Weather thread 2019/11/12 10:56:27 (permalink)
Geeez I hope not. Bad enough walking into the big box stores before Halloween and seeing decorated Christmas trees.

But then again, Christmas begins at the North Pole and muup north water do become solid really realy early so.... why not, as long as younz keep the cold stuff muup there, for a couple more weeks.

We got about 4" of snow from the first blast overnight, followed by short burst of lake effect.

Ground is still quite warm so the snow is quickly melting away on the roads, sidewalks, and my driveway. The porch and deck however, are a pain in the asz keeping the snow cleared.

Right now I'm thinking.......it's time for a Snickers Bar!⛄

Be safe everyone.

Just came back for lunch. Deer moving good today in this nasty weather.
I'm very leery about pulling camper tomorrow and sleigh riding down the mountain tomorrow. This road never gets salted, only sanded.

It might be locked in for winter. Wife will be pizzed, mice happy but I would survive at least to see another day

We got 3 to 4 inches from the storm and some LE expected tonight. Up north got more like 8. I have been made whole again as the folks from Temple forks replaced the end section of my pole after I LOST  it and redid ALL the eyes and guides. Cost $35 plus $10 shipping but well worth it . Turn around was 10 days and they are in Texas.

Just starting here. I spent yesterday and today moving lots of things, junk truck, camper, 2 off road vehicles and a trailer outta the way so I can plow. Also stocked the house with 2 weeks firewood.
Wife, kids and grandchildren are supposed to fly to Florida tomorrow 🤔.
Thankfully they're getting a sweet hotel near airport today so I don't have to drive them at 3am tomorrow.

Hunker down and stay safe folks
