Fishing hours

Can you fish 24 hrs a day on either Elk or Walnut? I just don't know if there is a time that you can be in the water or out at a certain time.

    From September 7 until the opening day of trout season in April, all Lake Erie tributary streams are closed to fishing from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on the following day except for Walnut Creek north of Manchester Bridge Road and Elk Creek north of Route 5.
    It is unlawful to fish from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on the following day within 50 yards of the mouth of both Trout Run and Godfrey Run while fishing the Lake Erie shoreline.

    Closed 10pm-5am most places. Walnut and Elk access areas open to night fishing.

    Sorry guys I don't mean to be totally thickheadded about this, so you can fish the accesses or the mouths. If the accesses, how far upstream from the mouth are you allowed to fish all night? Thanks for the replies!!

    walnut--> you cant fish manchester hole and anywhere else upstream from 10pm till 5am
    elk--> you cant fish upstream from rt 5 which crosses right above uncle johns...anything downstream from there is fair game 24 hrs.

    i thought it was route 5 to lake for both creeks?

    It was at one time but they changed the cutoff on Walnut to the Manchester rd bridge 2 or maybe 3 years ago now
