16 mile sewage leak
Fish commission had fishermen leave 16 mile today. A broken 24 inch raw sewage line broke and was draining into the stream.

its just another ploy to keep people from going to the mile streams There was no sewage leak, might as well start posting reports about how hot the fishing on 16 mile is this year. Apparently easy1 thinks he is going to scare people away and have the entire stream to himself.

This was only ment to be an fyi. Even an idiot knows this stream will flush out in 24 hrs. after being repaired. So how could it possibly be an attempt to keep people away for the season. I have been a member of this board for some time. This is why I don't post. I do however read your posts and laugh.

well I just got off the phone with the Erie Department of Health whom said that they WAS a release from the Sewage plant in Northeast, in Baker Run. I think this is one of the tributaries of 16miles (could one of you locals confirm?) but that said, it didn't seem like MUCH of an event. He said that it had minimal effect on the stream and didn't affect dissolved oxygen. SO, easy... an apology. I thought sure you were messing with us. sorry  a good lesson for me! While I kind of doubt most of what I read on here, not everything thats sounds hard too believe is wrong.

If you knew the history of that creek you wouldn't have been such a skeptic. Over the years they have had their share of discharges from the sewage plant and even now there are days when the creek doesn't smell very good and has some discharge you wouldn't want to wash in. It does get some fish from time to time but nothing I would eat.
